Coroner identifies woman killed in northwest valley double homicide

The woman who was found dead in the bedroom of her northwest valley home Thursday evening was identified Sunday by the Clark County coroner’s office.

She was Bonny Sue Cravish, 56, of Las Vegas, the coroner’s office said.

Cravish and her 62-year-old husband were found dead about 5:40 p.m. Thursday in the bedroom of their home in the 4800 block of North Tioga Way, near Lone Mountain Road and Buffalo drive, police said.

Bonny and Gary Cravish both died of gunshot wounds to the chest, the coroner’s office said. Their deaths were ruled homicides.

Mark Carpenter, 47, was arrested Friday in connection with their slaying.

Carpenter, who had been renting an apartment on the couple’s residential lot, was arrested on two counts of open murder and is being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.

The Review-Journal misspelled Bonny Cravish’s name in an earlier story.
