Coroner IDs Las Vegas man found dead in northwest desert area

The Clark County coroner’s office has identified the body found in the desert in northwest Las Vegas Wednesday morning.

John Daniel Orourke, 27-year-old Las Vegas resident, was found in a desert area past a construction site near Cliff Shadows Parkway and Lone Mountain Road, according to the Metropolitan Police Department. The coroner’s office has not yet released his cause and manner of death.

Police said Orourke’s body was found by a person walking near the area, and the death may have been a suicide.
