Coroner IDs Las Vegas man killed at Craig Ranch Park

A man shot and killed during a fight at a North Las Vegas park Tuesday night was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Alika Chappell-Hersh, 21, of Las Vegas, died from a gunshot wound in the stomach, the coroner said.

Officers were called to Craig Ranch Regional Park, 628 W. Craig Road near Commerce Street, shortly before 9 p.m. Tuesday, North Las Vegas police said.

Chappell-Hersh and the shooter fought for a brief time before shots were fired, police said. The shooter has not been identified and arrests have not been announced.

Chappell-Hersh was taken to University Medical Center by a friend before first responders arrived, police said. He died soon after.
