Coroner: Motorist who crashed into home died from injuries

The 79-year-old man who crashed into a downtown home Sunday night died from his injuries, the Clark County coroner’s office determined.

Arthur Elton Marvin, of Las Vegas, died from multiple blunt-force injuries suffered in the crash, staff said Tuesday morning.

The crash happened just after 10 p.m. near the intersection of Wyoming Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, police said Monday.

Marvin’s 2007 Honda Civic crashed through a parking lot wall of Olympic Garden strip club, into the backyard and wall of the home at 1602 Rexford Place, coming to a stop at the foot of 12-year-old Karla Carmona’s bed.

Police at the time reported there was a possibility that Marvin had a medical episode that caused the crash, prompting them not to treat his death as a traffic-related fatality, pending the coroner’s office’s findings.
