A 91-year-old driver whose injuries initially were not considered life threatening after a November wreck died a week later, Las Vegas police said Monday.
Lewis Kaplan, of Las Vegas, was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center following the Nov. 25 crash at the intersection of Patrick Lane and McLeod Drive, police said.
Kaplan died Dec. 2. A Clark County coroner’s office report given to Metro on Tuesday said the death was due to injuries from the crash.
The crash happened when a 1995 Lexus SC 400 driven by Kaplan entered the intersection at the same time as a 2008 Toyota Prius, police said.
Police determined the Lexus failed to yield the Prius, which had right of way.
Metro’s fatal detail did not respond to the crash, police said.
