Death investigated as possible narcotics-related homicide

A man was found dead from an apparent gunshot wound in a vehicle in an alley Thursday morning.

Metro was dispatched to the 2500 block of Lynnwood Street near Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue just before 10:30 a.m. Thursday to investigate a suspicious vehicle, according to a release Friday.

Upon arriving police located a deceased adult male inside a four-door sedan. Homicide detectives believe this incident may be narcotics-related, police said.

This is the 106th homicide investigated by Las Vegas police in 2015. The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
