Desert Inn Road has reopened in both directions near Maryland Parkway after a car crashed into a house in the area Tuesday morning, police said.
While police investigated the 7 a.m. crash into the unoccupied home, 1657 Desert Inn Road, the road was closed between La Canada Street and Pawnee Road for over three hours.
The driver of the car suffered serious injuries and was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center along with the passenger, whose injuries were unknown, Metro officer Laura Meltzer said.
