PANDA EXPRESS COLLECTING DONATIONS FOR THOSE AFFECTED BY OKLAHOMA TORNADO

Panda Restaurant Group Inc. has launched a fundraising effort to assist in disaster relief for those affected by the recent Oklahoma tornado.

Panda Express locations will have in-store drop-boxes for donation collections through June 14. Panda Restaurant Group Inc. plans to match 100 percent of the proceeds, with all donations going to the American Red Cross.

TO BENEFIT KEEP MEMORY ALIVE

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck and his Las Vegas culinary team plan to host Sip & Savor, an event featuring food, wine and spirits, at 6 p.m. May 29 at Spago inside The Forum Shops at Caesars, 3500 Las Vegas Blvd. South. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Keep Memory Alive and Cleveland Clinic at the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health.

During the event guests can sample Puck’s signature cuisine from six of his Las Vegas restaurants, paired with wines, spirits and beverages. Puck plans to be on hand to meet guests, and disc jockey Michael Shulman will provide musical entertainment.

Project Dinner Table has announced the remaining dates for its 2013 events.

Project Dinner Table has diners gather at a long table for a family-style meal at locations across the valley. Each month’s event showcases the cuisine of a different local chef and collects funds to help a local charity.

The next event is set for 7 p.m. June 8 at TPC Summerlin, 1700 Village Center Circle. Cuisine will be by TAO Group and the charities will be First Tee of Southern Nevada and Shriners Hospitals for Children.

The remaining dates scheduled are:

The three-course menu will feature steak tartare topped with egg yolk confit and complemented by house pickles; roasted bone marrow with oxtail jam; and heirloom tomato and chilled squid salad. the main course will be an array of hearty dishes, including cote de boeuf, an olive wood-grilled tomahawk ribeye, and braised pork shank served French-style with pied de cochon and scented chickpea and carrot remoulade. Additional sides will be macaroni gratin with blood sausage, butter whipped potato and asparagus with hollandaise.

ARIZONA CHARLIE’S DECATUR ANNOUNCES FATHER’S DAY SPECIALS

Arizona Charlie’s Decatur, 740 S.
