Dining Pick of the Week: Bistro Pizza

55 S. Gibson Road, 702-558-7330

Tyler Beach is the owner of Bistro Pizza, and he is celebrating the restaurant’s one-year anniversary. “The pizza dough is made from scratch, and each one is hand stretched to order,” he said. “We respect and honor the pizza and its tradition.” And one bite will tell you that great care goes into the preparation of each pie. All the regular toppings are available for the small (6 inches), medium (12 inches) and large (16 inches) pizzas, including chicken, sliced ham, meatballs, spinach and jalapenos. There are strombolis, calzones and the Italian hoagie made with ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone, sweet red peppers, onions and tomatoes. Bistro Sliders (meatball or chicken Parmesan) are served with regular fries or Bistro fries tossed with Parmesan and romano cheese, garlic and parsley. Featured entrees are spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccini Alfredo, homemade lasagna with seasoned beef and Italian sausage, baked penne and Tuscan chicken cavatappi with caramelized onions, garlic, mushroom and spinach in creamy Marsala wine sauce. Popular appetizers are garlic cheese bread, mozzarella cheese sticks and garlic knots. Pizzas start at $7, and entrees begin at $8. Bistro Pizza is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday and Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 9 p.m. Sunday. — Jack Bulavsky
