Tiersa Schultz, 18, has been named December student of the month by the Las Vegas Summerlin Lions Club.

Schultz, a student at Cimarron-Memorial High School, is the daughter of Marianne and Barry Schultz of Las Vegas.

Junior Merida has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

Merida is the son of Juan Merida of Las Vegas.

Koltev Wilson has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

Wilson is the son of Matt Wilson of Cedar City, Utah, and Shauna Robinson of Las Vegas.

Andrew Toney has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2012 graduate of Arbor View High School, Toney is the son of Pollyanna Toney of Las Vegas.

Alan Ryan has achieved Eagle status in the Boy Scouts of America.

A member of Troop 948, Ryan coordinated a bike rodeo teaching bike safety to children for his Eagle project.

He enjoys soccer, football, bike riding with friends, singing and playing piano.

Ryan is the son of Bryan and Gaynelle Ryan of Henderson.

Brian Lambert has achieved Eagle status in the Boy Scouts of America.

A member of Troop 903, he collected hygiene items and assembled 550 kits for homeless veterans on behalf of the U.S. Veterans Initiative for his Eagle project.

Lambert, a student at Las Vegas Academy, enjoys playing saxophone, swimming, hiking, composing music, traveling, being a member of his youth church group, and a member of the National Honor Society.

Lambert is the son of Kit and Debbie Lambert of Henderson.

Edgardo Ureta of Las Vegas graduated from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn., during fall commencement on Dec. 8.

Ureta received a Bachelor of Science degree in entrepreneurial studies.

Preston Balicki has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2012 graduate of Virtual High School, Balicki is the son of Brian Balicki of Glendale, Ariz., and Sandra Butler of Las Vegas.

Christopher Cunningham, a graduate of Mojave High School, earned a spot on the 2013 Heart of America Athletic Conference all-conference football team.

He is a student at Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Mo.

Cunningham, who was an honorable mention selection in 2012, caught 36 passes for 553 yards and five touchdowns. He averaged 15.4 yards per reception and 50.3 yards per game, twice topping the 100-yard receiving mark during the season.

Kyle McFadden has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

McFadden is a 2004 graduate of Durango High School.

Connor Dignan of Las Vegas has been added to the men’s swimming and diving team at Denison University in Granville, Ohio.

Sonji Davis has graduated from Army basic combat training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

Davis, daughter of Phillis Johnson of Las Vegas, earned a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb in 2007.
