Alden Grant has achieved Eagle Scout status in the Boy Scouts of America.

For his Eagle project, he helped renovate Kids’ Co-Op Preschool, which he attended.

Grant graduated from Advanced Technologies Academy with a major in graphic arts.

He was treasurer of the school’s Board Game Club, which hosted four game marathons during the year.

He plans to attend the University of Nevada, Reno, to major in journalism with an emphasis on advertising.

Grant is the son of David Grant and Michele Tombari of Las Vegas.

Barry Fortgang, 20, is attending the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in Los Angeles on a scholarship.

He is a member of the a cappella group Fil-Harmonics, which is scheduled to compete on the national TV show “The Sing-Off” on Aug. 6 in Los Angeles.

Fortgang, a graduate of Green Valley High School, is the son of Steve and Delly Fortgang of Henderson.

Tanner Fortgang, 15, is a member of the performing group Teens In Blue, which is derived from the Air Force’s Tops In Blue.

Teens In Blue performed in June at Edwards Air Force Base in California and in San Antonio on July 19.

Maxwell Seley has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2010 graduate of Sierra Vista High School, Seley is the son of Douglas and Ronda Seley of Clinton Township, Mich., and grandson of William and Marry Ann Seley of Shelby Township, Mich.

Justin Solomon has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2012 graduate of Sierra Vista High School, Solomon is the son of Randy Solomon of Henderson and Darlo Jackson of Las Vegas.

Aaron Beckman has graduated from Air Force basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland in San Antonio.

A 2010 graduate of Bonanza High School, Beckman is the son of Jeff and Sue Child of Las Vegas.

Christopher Jones has graduated from Army basic training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

Jones is a 2011 graduate of Del Sol High School.

Peter Gentile of Las Vegas has graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee with a Bachelor of Arts degree in broadcast and electronic communication.

Neil Espinoza has graduated from Army basic training at Fort Jackson in Columbia, S.C.

A 2008 graduate of Las Vegas High School, Espinoza is the son of Julio and Christine Espinoza of Las Vegas.

Prince Igboamazu of Las Vegas has graduated from the doctor of ministry program at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio.

Elizabeth Fildes of Las Vegas has been named to the dean’s list at the Westminster Choir College of Rider University in Princeton, N.J., for the spring 2013 semester.

Katherine Kral of Las Vegas has graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater with a bachelor’s degree in liberal studies.
