The Life is Beautiful music and art festival got underway Friday with thousands jamming downtown Las Vegas to groove to the sounds Billie Eilish, Portugal, The Man and Chance the Rapper.
Downtown’s Life is Beautiful festival has evolved into a special-event tourism attraction that spurred the LVCVA board ofdirectors to spend $150,000 to market it.
The three-day Life Is Beautiful event will prompt road and parking lot closures and bus route changes in downtown Las Vegas.
Other events include a book signing at the Mob Museum and the monthly Dr. Sketchy’s Anti-Art School at a First Street bar.
In its seventh year, Life is Beautiful is expanding its art lineup to include more 3D installations, immersive works and interactive pieces.
The festival gets underway Friday afternoon, but in reality the party already has started.
