Throngs of children with one thing top of mind — finding as many colorful Easter eggs as possible — turned out Satuday for the 3rd annual Easter Festival. Not one, not two but three egg hunts, and 50,000 eggs, took place during the festival at Craig Ranch Regional Park in North Las Vegas. The Christian Hope Project and the Metropolitan Police Department’s Northeast Area Command helped to put on the Easter event, billed as one of the largest in the Las Vegas Valley. The festival featured 30 vendors, live music, face painting, carnival games, three egg hunts with 50,000 eggs and free photos with the Easter bunny. Metro also showcased its SWAT and ARMOR vehicles, as well as its helicopter and K-9 units.
