Fire breaks out in southeast valley apartment

One person is suffering smoke inhalation after a fire Monday evening in the southeast valley, the Clark County Fire Department said.
About 6:20 p.m., firefighters responded to a fire in a two-story apartment complex at 4475 Jimmy Durante Blvd, the department said in a statement. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from a first-floor apartment.
The statement said crews attacked the fire aggressively and searched the structure, finding no one inside.
The person suffering from smoke inhalation is being treated at the scene, the department said. No injuries were reported.
The fire is under control and being investigated.
