An 83-year-old man who went missing from a casino lobby and was found dead two days later died of heart complications, according to the Clark County coroner’s office.
The last time Thuoc Van Dong, of Collingwood, Australia, had been seen before his body was found August 11 was two days earlier at the MGM Grand lobby. Dong had shown signs of the early stages of Alzheimer’s disease and did not speak English, Metro said.
His body was found near East Warm Springs Road and the 215 Beltway.
Dong died of heart disease with significant conditions of dementia and environmental heat stress, the coroner’s office said Saturday. His death was ruled an accident.
