Henderson police seek to ID man who robbed smoke shop

Henderson police released surveillance photos Thursday and are asking for the public’s help in identifying a man who robbed a smoke shop in September.

Police said the Sept. 10 robbery started after the man paid for a cigar. As the Hashu Smoke Shop cashier attempted to make change at the 2643 Windmill Parkway store, the man reached over the counter and grabbed the cashier’s hands. He then grabbed an “undisclosed amount” of money and fled on foot across North Pecos Road, according to a news release.

The man was described as about 6 feet tall, police said, and 200 to 220 pounds. He has short hair, a mustache and was last seen wearing a dark gray shirt, black pants and white tennis shoes with a black-and-red baseball cap. The cap had a red bill and a black “U” logo.

Anyone with information may call Henderson police at 702-267-4911. To remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
