Henderson woman dies from injuries one week after crash

A woman hurt in a two-vehicle crash a week ago in Henderson has died from her injuries, according to a city spokeswoman.

Myrna Centeno, 69, from Henderson, died Wednesday. She was a passenger in a 2012 Nissan Rogue that collided with a 2006 BMW that had run a red light on Nov. 12, Henderson spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said.

Centeno was initially taken to St. Rose Dominican Hospital- Siena Campus, with what were described as non-life-threatening injuries, Richards said. Her condition deteriorated and she died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

The crash occurred about noon at the intersection of St. Rose Parkway and Eastern Avenue, Henderson police said. The BMW’s driver, 34, was cited for failure to obey a red light.
