A Henderson woman died Wednesday from injuries she suffered in a crash last week, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.
Authorities identified the woman as Phyllis Rossiter, 89, who investigators said crashed her gold 2004 Hyundai Sonata on the 215 Beltway just after 11:15 p.m. on Sept. 9. She had no passengers.
Troopers said Rossiter was driving in the left lane on the westbound on-ramp for the Beltway near Stephanie Street before she crossed a rock embankment to the left and entered the highway. From there, Rossiter continued to drift left across the highway lanes until she hit the median wall.
She was hospitalized at St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Sienna campus. She was transferred to University Medical Center the following day.
According to the Highway Patrol, a medical issue may have contributed to the crash.
