Inmate dies at Northern Nevada Correctional Center

A 59-year-old prisoner serving time in a Northern Nevada prison died on Monday, according to the Nevada Department of Corrections.
Randy Richmond died at the Northern Nevada Correctional Center's medical facility, the department said Tuesday. He was sent to prison in 2001 and was serving concurrent sentences of life for lewdness with a minor and not registering as a sex offender in a Washoe County case.
Carson City officials are awaiting autopsy results on Richmond's cause of death.
