Las Vegas morning update for Friday, December 29th — VIDEO

Here are your Friday morning headlines:

1. A U-Haul truck hit and killed a 79-year-old woman in a Henderson shopping center parking lot Thursday. Police say the truck ran the woman over just before 1:30 p.m. outside of a Walmart store on Marks St. near Sunset Road. Police say the driver, identified as Nichole Zimmerman, took off after driving over the woman despite witness attempts to flag her down. Zimmerman was arrested on suspicion of felony hit-and-run.

2. Police are investigating a possible triple homicide in North Las Vegas Thursday night. Police say three adults were shot inside a residence on Carroll Street near Civic Center and Lake Mead. Police are trying to determine how the people knew each other and whether there’s a shooter still at large.

3. Less tourists came to Las Vegas in November, extending a streak of consecutive monthly declines to six. November visitation was down 3.7 percent from 2016, bringing the yearly decline to 1.6 percent. Annual visitation may see its first annual decline since 2013 and the first large-scale drop since 2009.
