Las Vegas morning update for Thursday, September 21st — VIDEO

Here are your Thursday morning headlines:

1. Las Vegas gambler Bill Walters was ordered to forfeit over $25 million in insider-trading gains. Walters was convicted in April of making trades on tips he got from a golfing buddy. Walters reports to prison in October for a five-year sentence.

2. The Clark County coroner’s office has identified one of two decomposed bodies found in an apartment last week. The body of Gwen Ulbrich was discovered at Solaire Apartments Tuesday along with another body. An autopsy revealed the two bodies belonged to a mother and daughter. Police could not say whether the deaths were being investigated as homicides.

3. The Clark County Commission warns that a football stadium project among others could be delayed unless they find a way to increase staffing in the public works department. Staffing in the department was cut after the Great Recession and the department director says they are still rebuilding. The county administered an average of 22 constructions projects a year over the past four years, with that average expected to jump to 35 a year.
