Las Vegas morning update for Wednesday, September 20th — VIDEO

Here are your Wednesday morning headlines:

1. One person is dead after a crash involving a Metro police vehicle. The person rear-ended a patrol vehicle around 3:30 a.m. and was pronounced dead at the scene. The officer’s injuries are not life-threatening.

2. A police mannequin will be on display at the Mob Museum after it helped catch a suspected killer. Police put out the dummy in February to find the killer of two homeless men and Shane Schindler attacked the mannequin with a hammer. Police couldn’t connect Schindler to the homicides but he is currently in prison for attempted murder for the dummy attack.

3. Budget cutting through Clark County School District was halted Monday after an accounting error. The mistake is taken as good news because schools were asked to make bigger cuts than actually necessary. CCSD is expected to make $70 million to $80 million in cuts.
