Police said the dead man found in the bushes Thursday night in the central part of the Las Vegas Valley was stabbed.
Las Vegas police officers responded to Flamingo Road near Swenson Street about 9:30 p.m. after getting reports that a man was lying on his back in the bushes, Lt. Joe Martin said.
Medical personnel flipped the man over and found he was dead and had stab wounds.
It was a violent enough crime that homicide detectives took over the investigation, Martin said. The man’s identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office.
As of Friday afternoon, no suspects have been identified and the motive remains unknown. This is the 41st homicide investigated by the Las Vegas police in 2014.
