Las Vegas shooting victim identified

The man who died after a Tuesday night shooting in the east valley was identified by the Clark County coroner’s office on Thursday.

Derrell Martrise Carr, 23, was shot in the neck and chest, the coroner said.

Officers responded to an apartment in the 2800 block of East Bonanza Road, near Mohave Road, about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

When they arrived, Carr was dead and another man had suffered a gunshot wound to the leg, police said.

Investigators said the gunshots were fired from outside the apartment, police said.

No suspects had been identified by police on Wednesday.
