Las Vegas Valley expected to remain cooler than normal

Cooler-than-usual conditions in the Las Vegas Valley are expected to last into next week as moderate winds diminish by the weekend, the National Weather Service said.

Wednesday’s high was 92 degrees the weather service said.

Thursday will have the week’s strongest winds. A wind advisory is set to last from 11 a.m. through 11 p.m. Expect sustained between 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph. The forecast high for the day is 84.

Friday, the first day of the three-day Life is Beautiful festival in downtown Las Vegas, is expected to reach 77, the weather service said. That would be the first time the high temperature dropped below 80 degrees since May 18.

Highs on Saturday and Sunday are expected to reach 78 and 80, respectively. Nighttime lows throughout the weekend should hover in the upper 50s.
