Mail carrier killed in east valley crash Saturday ID’d

A U.S Postal Service carrier killed in a three-vehicle crash in the east valley Saturday has been identified by the Clark County coroner’s office.

Alton C. Hall, 62, of Las Vegas died from his injuries, coroner’s office staff said Sunday.

Hall was in a 1994 Grumman mail truck on the intersection of Owens Avenue and Mount Hood Road when the truck was hit by a 2013 Nissan Altima driven by a 61-year-old woman, who Las Vegas police said ran a stop sign. The mail truck overturned and Hall was thrown from it.

The Altima then hit a parked 2000 Chevrolet Malibu, police said. The Altima’s driver and her 79-year-old passenger suffered moderate injuries and were taken to University Medical Center.
