Man arrested after non-fatal shooting at Strip motel

A man was arrested Saturday morning at a Strip motel after Las Vegas police say he shot someone in the leg.

Officers were in the area when they heard shots about 4:20 a.m., Lt. Michael Wallace said. They investigated the Travelodge motel at Harmon Avenue and Las Vegas Boulevard, where they found someone with a gunshot wound to the leg who was then taken to a hospital.

The suspect fled into a motel room and was later arrested, Wallace said.
