Man critically injured in southeast valley Metro shooting

Las Vegas police shot a man Monday night during a robbery investigation in the southeast valley.

Medical personnel responded to the Suites,4855 Boulder Highway, north of Flamingo Road, about 10:15 p.m. The man was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition, said Metro spokesman Officer Larry Hadfield.

No officers were injured during the shooting, he said.

1 flu death reported in Clark County

At least one person has died from the flu in Clark County in the first five weeks of flu season, according to records from the Southern Nevada Health District.
