Man found dead near Hoover Dam died accidentally, coroner rules

The man found dead near Hoover Dam a week ago has been identified, and his death has been ruled an accident by the Clark County coroner.

Dennis Martin Hardesty, 58, whose city of residence is unknown, was found about 9:30 a.m. July 27 on U.S Highway 93 near state Route 172, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The coroner has listed Hardesty’s cause of death as critical coronary artery disease combined with environmental heat exposure.
