Updated September 14, 2017 - 9:10 pm

An 18-year-old man hit by a car this month in the west valley has died, Las Vegas police said.

He was Cameron Hutchinson of Las Vegas, according to Metropolitan Police Department. The Clark County coroner’s office told Metro on Thursday he had died from his injuries.

Sgt. Paul McCullough said Hutchinson was hit by a white car in the crosswalk of Fort Apache Road and Mariner Cove Drive, near Sahara Avenue.

Police later said the 46-year-old driver ran a red light and hit Hutchinson. He was hospitalized at University Medical Center in critical condition. The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with authorities, McCullough said. Impairment wasn’t suspected, he said.

Hutchinson’s death marked the 90th traffic fatality investigated by Metro this year.
