Man in hospital after central valley apartment fire

A man was transported to the hospital after a central valley apartment fire early Sunday morning, officials say.

The fire happened at 1:20 a.m. in an apartment at the Autumn Ridge complex, 5540 Harmon Avenue, near the intersection of Decatur Boulevard, according to a release from Clark County.

First responders located the man on the third floor of the building, where most of the fire damage occurred.

He was transported to University Medical Center.

Two apartments below sustained minor water damage, the release said. The damage estimate is $30,000.

The hospitalized man was displaced by the fire. There were no other injuries or displacements.
