The Clark County coroner on Sunday identified the man who died in a fatal crash on June 27 in the east valley.
Billie Joe Jenkins, 69, of Las Vegas failed to stop his vehicle and crashed into a tractor-trailer, police said.
The crash happened just after 8:20 a.m. near Lake Mead Boulevard and Mount Hood Street involving a tractor-trailer and another vehicle, police said. Evidence at the scene and witness statements show that a 2014 Nissan Versa failed to stop and then crashed into the stopped tractor-trailer’s rear.
Jenkins was taken to University Medical Center, where medical personnel pronounced him dead.
