Metro searching for man, 70, missing in western valley

Las Vegas police are searching for man who went missing Thursday morning in the west valley and may need medical attention.

Mario Valadez, 70, was last seen in the area of Washington Avenue and Tenaya Way, near the Summerlin Parkway and U.S. Highway 95 interchange. His family told police he does not know the area well, suffers from Alzheimer’s and may need help getting home.

Police said Valadez was last seen about 7:30 a.m. wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and white tennis shoes. He is 5 foot, 5 inches tall, weighs about 155 pounds, has green eyes and is balding. His family said he walks with a slight wobble.

Police are asking all hospitals and shelters to check their registries for Valadez and notify police if they find him. Anyone with information is asked to contact Metro and refer to case number 151203-1369.
