Metro seeks help in solving Sunday homicide outside Paris Las Vegas
The Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public’s help in a homicide that occurred in the valet area of Paris Las Vegas early Sunday morning.
Officers were sent to the hotel, at 3655 Las Vegas Blvd. South, to investigate a report of an injured man and discovered a man in the valet area suffering from an apparent head injury about 4:20 a.m.
The investigation by Metro’s violent crimes and homicide sections found the man was involved in a fight with another man, where he was punched, fell to the ground, and lost consciousness. He died at University Medical Center.
Detectives are seeking information from anyone who may have witnessed the altercation. Additionally, investigators are seeking the occupants of two particular vehicles that left the scene after the incident.
Police described one vehicle as a small, red four-door crossover-type vehicle that had a sun or a moon roof. This vehicle was being driven by a man and had a female passenger. The second vehicle was described as a white, four-door Chevrolet Impala with a sun roof that was driven by a woman.
Police released photos that show the vehicles that were in the valet area at the time of the incident.
This is the 34th homicide investigated by Metro this year. The identity of the man, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after his family has been notified.
