Motorcyclist, 50, dies in south Las Vegas crash

A motorcycle rider died in a crash Friday in south Las Vegas, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
The crash happened at 7:12 p.m. on Las Vegas Boulevard S., north of East Moberly Avenue, which is near Las Vegas Boulevard and Blue Diamond Road.
The rider, whose name hasn’t yet been released, was a 50-year-old Las Vegas man, police said.
In a statement, police said “a 2021 Benelli TNT 135cc motorcycle was traveling northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard, approaching the intersection with Moberly Avenue in the right travel lane. For reasons unknown, the rider lost control of the motorcycle, striking the east curb line. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and came to rest on the east sidewalk.”
No other vehicles were involved.
Police said the rider was transported to St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena Campus, in Henderson, where he died.
