Natural gas outage affects 5,000 Henderson residents

Southwest Gas reported a natural gas outage on Tuesday evening affecting nearly 5,000 Henderson customers.

The outage was announced on the company’s website about 6 p.m. and left the area around Foothill High School and many neighborhoods east of Boulder Highway near Wagonwheel Drive without natural gas.

The outage area has been safely secured, the company said on its website, and crews were still working to make repairs at 9 p.m.

A Southwest Gas representative was not immediately available for comment.
