Aggressive and speeding drivers were warned Thursday about “high-visibility patrols” by Nevada law enforcement until July 28.
Authorities are watching, and speeding could cost those who disregard traffic laws, according to a statement from the Nevada Department of Public Safety.
During a similar operation in 2013, Nevada authorities wrote about 12,000 speeding citations, according to the statement.
Speeding drivers contribute to one-third of fatal accidents in the country, the statement said.
