North Las Vegas man stabbed to death in Friday fight ID’d

The Clark County coroner's office on Monday identified a man who was fatally stabbed in a Friday fight at a central valley home.

Terrance Eugene Butler, 38, of North Las Vegas, died from a stab wound to the chest, coroner's office staff said.

Metro officers were called about 8:40 p.m. to 704 W. Adams Ave., near Martin Luther King Boulevard and Washington Avenue, where they found Butler. He was taken to University Medical Center where he died, police said.

An investigation determined that Butler and a group of people were near the street when a fight broke out, police said. The rest of the group fled on foot after the stabbing.

Police said the man they are looking for was wearing dark pants and a white T-shirt at the time of the stabbing.
