Northbound I-15 lanes reopen after delays caused by overturned semi

Updated July 20, 2017 - 7:29 pm

Drivers faced long delays along northbound Interstate 15 after a semitrailer overturned Thursday afternoon, but closed freeway lanes have now reopened, the Nevada Highway Patrol said.

A semitrailer heading north on I-15 landed on a vehicle and rolled over, the Highway Patrol said. The truck was not hauling a trailer at the time of the crash.

At about 2:30 p.m., all northbound lanes on the freeway were closed at Tropicana Avenue, the Regional Transportation Commission said. The crash was cleared just before 7 p.m.

The crash may involved six vehicles, the Highway Patrol posted to Twitter.

There were also injuries, trooper Buratczuk said. The extent of injuries is unknown, but none of the injuries appears to be fatal, he said.
