Pedestrian killed in December hit-and-run identified

A pedestrian who died last month after a hit-and-run collision in the central valley was identified Monday by the Clark County coroner’s office as 33-year-old Drew Anthony Nesbit.

Nesbit died Dec. 23 of multiple injuries after police said he was struck by a vehicle in the roadway near Algonquin Drive and East Flamingo Road. The coroner ruled his death an accident.

Police said the crash was not reported to the Metropolitan Police Department until a passer-by found the man’s body in the road about 2:30 a.m. Nesbit died at Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center.

Metro’s fatal detail unit could not describe the vehicle or the driver; the crash remains under investigation.

Anyone with information should call the Police Department at 702-828-4060 or Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
