A man who was hit by a car last month has died, Las Vegas police said Friday.
Metro was notified of the 39-year-old man’s death Thursday. His identity will be released by the Clark County coroner’s office after his family has been notified.
The man was crossing North Eastern Avenue, near East Fremont Street, about 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 20 when he was struck by Jeep Grand Cherokee. The man was walking outside of a marked crosswalk, police said.
He was taken to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries after the accident. The Jeep’s occupants stayed at the scene and were not injured, police said.
This is the 113th traffic-related fatality in Metro’s jurisdiction in 2015. The collision remains under investigation by the Las Vegas police’s Accident Investigation Section.
