Petra Greek Taverna closes at Tivoli Village shopping center
Petra Greek Taverna has closed at Tivoli Village shopping center, and an Asian-themed restaurant is taking its place, a spokeswoman for the center said Monday.
Chef Angelo Sosa plans to open Poppy Den, a new Asian gastropub, by New Year's Eve. The restaurant will serve Asian cuisine in a casual setting with an outdoor poppy garden.
"While we have realized out dream of serving family-inspired Greek cuisine to our loyal guests, friends and family during our time at Tivoli Village, we felt it was time to explore new opportunities," Petra co-owner Demetri Kouretas said.
Retailers that have recently opened at Tivoli include Ethan Allen Furniture and Shaggy Chic dog grooming and products.
