Police looking for 2 men in robbery, shooting Saturday night

Police are looking for two men involved in a robbery-turned-shooting Saturday night outside a south valley bar.

Two men approached a third man just after 10:30 p.m. outside Putters Bar and Grill at 5025 S. Eastern Ave., south of Tropicana Avenue, and demanded money, said Metro Lt. Steve Connell.

"When (the) victim was slow to respond, they shot him," Connell said.

The man was hospitalized with wounds that were non-life-threatening, Connell said.

The robbers fled and have not been arrested.

Anyone with information should call Metro's robbery section at 702-828-3206 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555.
