Police looking for man involved in NLV robbery

Police are asking for the public’s help to find a man involved in the May 31 robbery of a North Las Vegas business, the department wrote in a release Tuesday.

Officers were called about 9:40 a.m. May 31 to the 5500 block of Camino Al Norte, near West Ann Road, where witnesses said a man with a silver handgun entered a business and climbed over the counter, pointing the gun at employees, according to the release.

The man demanded money from the cash register, took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled in a white Hyundai Sonata, police said.

The robber was described by police as a 25-year-old man about 6-feet tall and weighing about 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with a white, diamond-shaped insignia on the front, a white T-shirt, long black shorts with white lettering, black socks with a white design and lime green shoes.

Witnesses said the man had a tattoo of a red star under his right eye, according to police.

Anyone with information about the robbery should call North Las Vegas police at 702-633-9111 or, to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 702-385-5555 or visit www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
