Professional BMX rider will appear at Bicycle Swap & Rally

Professional BMX rider and television personality Ricardo Laguna will appear Saturday at Henderson’s inaugural Bicycle Swap & Rally.

The free event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cornerstone Park, 1600 Wigwam Parkway near Stephanie Street.

Laguna will appear at 12:30 p.m. to greet participants and discuss bicycle safety.

On the BMX circuit since 2003, Laguna has won many events around the world. He recently took first place in Costa Rica’s King of Dirt. He also stars in the MTV reality show “The Ricardo Laguna Project,” which chronicles his journey as a Latin American BMXer living in Las Vegas.

People are invited to trade or sell gently used bikes and parts of all kind at the Bicycle Swap & Rally. A vendor marketplace will feature new bicycles, parts and gear. The event also includes bicycle repairs, bicycle recycling, demonstrations and a bicycle safety course.
