Robber shoots at off-duty Metro cop in Henderson

A robber fired at an off-duty Metro cop who saw the crime as it was going down Friday night, according to Henderson police.
The officer was not hit.
It happened about 9 p.m. near the intersection of Carnegie Street and Horizon Ridge Parkway, Henderson police spokeswoman Kathleen Richards said. The officer tried to stop the robber, who fled in a vehicle.
Police set up a perimeter and were looking for the robber, Richards said about 9:45 p.m. Further details were not immediately available.
