Ronald McDonald Family Room debuts at Sunrise Children’s Hospital
The Ronald McDonald Family Room opened Wednesday at Sunrise Children’s Hospital, giving families a place to spend time when children are in critical care.
Funding for the project came from the Engelstad Family Foundation the Del E. Webb Foundation, Sunrise Children’s Hospital, Speedway hildren’s Charities, NV Energy, Lexus of Las Vegas and numerous other supporters, according to a news release from the hospital.
The room provides a place for families “to eat, sleep, shower, nap, and relax — away from the critical care environment, yet right down the hall from their baby’s bedside,” according to Alyson McCarthy, Executive Director of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Las Vegas.
