Saturday morning blaze damages two homes in Henderson

Two houses were damaged after a fire in Henderson early Saturday morning, according to the Henderson Fire Department.

Crews responded to a residential structure fire near Cold Breeze Drive and Sceneic Edge Street about 3:45 a.m., public information officer Kathleen Richards said.

Upon arrival, crews observed a fully involved fire at a single story house that was under construction. Large embers from the fire caused the wall of a nearby occupied two-story home to catch on fire. The second home is located in the 200 block of Pioneers Peak Avenue.

Firefighters initiated an offensive attack and quickly extinguished the fire at both locations. There were no injuries to residents or firefighters.

The cause of the fire is under investigation. Total loss is estimated at $60,000.
