Searchers find body of teen drowned at Lake Mead

The body of a teenager who drowned in Lake Mead was recovered Sunday night, a spokeswoman for Lake Mead National Recreation Area said.

The teenager went missing shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday near Boulder Harbor. The Lake Mead National Recreation Area Interagency Communication Center received an emergency call that reported a teenager had been “under water for more than five minutes,” the National Park Service said.

The Clark County coroner was en route to the scene Sunday night, she said.
