Three presidential candidates will make the trek to Las Vegas next week.
Republican front-runner Donald Trump will have a public rally at noon on Thursday at Treasure Island’s Mystere Theatre. The billionaire businessman is leading a crowded field of more than a dozen GOP contenders for the nomination.
One of Trump’s Republican competitors, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, will have a rally that same day.
But undecided voters can attend both. Rubio’s event is at 5:30 p.m. at Mountain Shadow Community Center, 9107 Del Webb Blvd.
Rubio’s event is the first of a three-day stretch. The following day, Rubio also will have a happy hour event at Havana Grill, 8878 S. Eastern Ave. That event is at 5 p.m.
Rubio will have a rally at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, in Boulder City. That event starts at 10:30 a.m. at the Elks Lodge, 1217 Nevada Highway, Boulder City.
A Democratic presidential candidate, former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, will campaign in Las Vegas next week, too.
O’Malley is holding events that include a tour of the Culinary Health Fund Clinic and a town hall at the Service Employees International Union Local 1107 on Monday. Those events are private, and open to the media. He also will speak at a Hispanic in Politics breakfast Tuesday.
O’Malley is trailing former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., in polls for the Democratic nomination.
The Trump and Rubio events are free and open to the public, but advance registration is required.
